6-Session Effective Speaking Series
For Students

This six-session group series helps students and college graduates become effective speakers through speech coaching, creating awareness of correct nonverbal language, identifying talking points and etiquette training, all building better communication skills and confidence.

Prior to the start of class, students will meet with Nola to identify their objectives, goals and roadblocks.  Students will then have the opportunity to practice public speaking and learn techniques for impromptu speaking, all designed to help move students towards their goals.  Students receive individualized coaching both in class and in between sessions.

This series will help you to:

  • Refine your presence through how you speak
  • Identify areas of individual expertise both for resume building and confident communication
  • Become a more effective speaker and improve conversational skills
  • Learn the formula for storytelling
  • Learn how to get rid of nervous energy when speaking
  • Refine nonverbal language: eye contact, body language and vocal tone
  • Improve presentation skills and incorporate exhibits into talks
  • Learn techniques to remember peoples names
  • Become more confident in interviews
